    Last patent date August 30, 1910
    Metal " National " drawer plate is 3" x 14 3/4"
    Wooden drawer is 14 1/8" wide x 13 5/8" deep.
    ( the metal rails on the sides extend an additional 3/4" )
    3 compartments for paper money / bills / currency.
    6 sloped compartments for coins ( pennies , nickels , dimes , quarters , half dollars , dollars ).

    When this register drawer was made in 1910, Lincoln pennies had just been introduced the year before ( but mostly in circulation was Indian Head pennies ).
    The Liberty Head nickels and Barber dimes were still being minted ( Buffalo head nickels appeared in 1913 , and Mercury dimes in 1916 ).
    Minting of Barber quarters and half dollars had not yet been succeeded by Standing Liberty quarter and half dollar ( also in 1916 ).
    Morgan Silver Dollars were still being minted ( the Peace Dollar appeared in 1921 ).
    The first Federal Reserve Notes ( paper currency ) appeared in 1914.
    In 1910 the paper money stored in this register drawer might have been a combination of National Banknotes , Silver Certificates , etc.
    Over 110 years old.

    Condition.
    The metal drawer plate at the front is in good condition, with some light spots of oxidation ( the appear lighter in person than in the photos ).
    The wooden drawer itself in in generally good condition.
    The inside of the coin compartments at the front is worn ( the smaller coins at the front would have seen more use ).
    Two paper money / bill holders are still present, and operate normally.
    The other metal parts have some surface corrosion.
    The original drawer spring is still present, and the attachment plate for the spring is also still present and in good condition.
    The drawer has wear from many years of use, but is otherwise generally good.
    The two original paper labels are still present on the underside of the drawer.
