Souvenir Paperweight
This unique souvenir is a heavy metal paperweight with relief modeling for the Commodore Perry Hotel. Cast in heavy metal it is wonderfully decorative with a nautical theme, it features a classic sailing ship. There is a raised relief ribbon across the bottom with Perry's famous quote "We have met the enemy and hey are ours" and the date 1812. The wording of the quote is quite worn, the date is still clear however. The Commodore Perry Hotel, built in 1927, it was a popular luxury hotel for fast, famous and wealthy.
Size: 3 inches in diameter, .25 inch thick.
