    Chinese export tea caddy circa 1830 melon shape, regency gilded black lacquer with two original Paktong Caddies
    (pewter) tea caddies.
    14" X 10" X 6"
    For the collector or you can use it for tea and/or tobacco keep it under Lock & Key. From the mid Qing Dynasty(1644-1911). Photos can not do this beautiful antique justice. Extremely elaborate piece with gold gilded unique ancient Chinese villagers throughout the city, hand painted on each and every one of the 17 panels(almost impossible to find) and decorated all-over with intricate and colorful patterns. To top it off, you open it up to a beautiful inner lid gold gilded drawing under the cover. Additionally, All pewter lids and sealer caps are included, two individual pewter tea containers AND the ORIGINAL KEY(such a rarity not often offered),
    This is one of a kind and if you are looking for something special, for someone special, you'll never find another one quite like this amazing piece of collectable true antique. Tea Caddy's this large are often only available to collectors on 1stbids and upper auctions. This is a great opportunity. Authenticity is guaranteed(obviously).
    The brass hinges are broke(given its age). both top part of hinges and pins are intact and completely original. the lower plates need replacement(a four tiny screw repair). I am leaving it up to the buyer to replace with current replacements or seek out authentic ones.
    This is a keeper. Who will bring it into the next 200 years going forward.
