    Up for auction today is a Vintage Check Writer, or "F & F Check Protector".
    Made by the F&F Headman Company.
    This is a Series Excel Model, Serial No. XL-4208395.
    This vintage Check machine comes in typical vintage office green, with a chrome stamp base, colored $ knobs, and dark green number scale.
    The front of the machine features the original F&F Hedman Company logo in green, red, and chrome.
    On the back is the original data plate and a pair of the original keys.
    Not sure how this thing works or if in fact it is working but it comes in very good as displayed condition, shows very well and selling as is, due to unknown mechanical operation.
    Liquidated from an old Drug Store closing along with many other balances and similar machines, that were actually working units until the store closed.
    This piece is very heavy and will show in shipping costs. We will remove the handle for packing to minimize the size of the box and reduce shipping costs accordingly.
    This is a nice piece, worthy of any collection.
